Terms of Service

Last updated: September 14, 2026

1. The service

Calendar Travel Blocks (“the service”) is provided by Theo De Geest. It watches the Google Calendars you select and inserts travel blocks before events with a location, using live traffic data. By using the service you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. You sign in with a Google account and remain responsible for it. You must only monitor calendars for which you have the necessary permissions, and you consent to the service reading those calendars and creating, updating and deleting travel blocks in the block calendar you choose.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • provide accurate event locations, home address and settings;
  • only monitor calendars you may legitimately read and modify;
  • comply with the terms and policies of Google (including the Google API Services User Data Policy) and of any travel provider you use;
  • ensure that any API keys you provide are yours and that their usage stays within the provider's limits and terms.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

  • attempt to access, disrupt or interfere with the service, its infrastructure or other users' data;
  • monitor calendars you do not have permission to access;
  • use the service to send unsolicited messages or otherwise abuse your calendar data;
  • reverse engineer, resell or sublicense the service.

5. No guarantees

Travel blocks are estimates. Travel times depend on live traffic, transit schedules, weather and other factors the service cannot fully predict. The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always accurate. Always allow sufficient time and check the latest conditions before you travel.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Theo De Geest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including any reliance on travel blocks. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law, including liability for fraud or gross negligence.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time, disable sync, revoke access in your Google account, or delete your account and data from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, abuse, or to protect the service or other users. On termination, your data is deleted in line with the Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to the service or these Terms

We may update the service and these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the current effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you also keep the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may submit a dispute to the competent courts of your residence. Contact us first at theo.degeest@gmail.com and we will try to resolve any issue informally.
